My Favorite TV Show: Poker After Dark
Poker After Dark is a TV program that airs on the NBC network, and the show debuted in the beginning of January 2007. In the first two seasons, the show was hosted by Shana Hiatt, with Marianela Pereyra taking over in the third season and Leeann Tweeden taking over in season four. All the show's seasons have been narrated by Ali Nejad, and Poker After Dark was shown in HD for the first time.
Poker After Dark has the best personalities and players in the game of poker united, playing in a winner-takes-all, very high-stakes tournament where no one knows what will happen next. Every week, six of the best players in the world gather somewhere in Vegas to play in the exclusive, invite-only event. Watch this week to see all the card-throwing, temper-flaring action!
The tournament's buy-in fee is a steep $20,000, and the winner gets $120,000 with the non-winners getting great parting gifts. Host Leeann Tweeden follows the action from the first deal to the last win. Be sure to watch this week- you'll see why it takes more than just a winning hand to prevail.
On Poker After Dark, nerves are rattled, bluffs are called, and characters are challenged as each player tries to outwit and outplay their competition. With this tournament, there can be only one winner. You've never seen a poker show like this before; NBC and Full Tilt are bringing you poker in a whole new way.
